The Buttons Are the Point
Four oversized gold-tone discs run down the front of a heavy ribbed knit. They are deliberately too big, which is exactly why the cardigan reads as a coat rather than something you throw on over pyjamas.
Volume, Then a Curve
Cut wide through the body with dropped shoulders and balloon sleeves, then finished with a scalloped hem that curves away at the front. The shape does the work, so the colour can stay quiet.
